SPLA reporting API for SoftwareOne CloudIQ

Every month a hosting provider tells Microsoft, through SoftwareOne, how many SPLA licences it used. In CloudIQ that is done by hand on a web page. This service lets your own administration or billing software read and prepare that monthly report instead, using your own CloudIQ login and an API client. A person still checks and submits it.

Try it now

Click through the API in your browser, with invented data or with your own CloudIQ API client and user. Every step shows the request, the answer and the same call for your own software.

Try it

API reference

Every call, field and error, readable and testable (Swagger). The same description as a file for code generators: openapi.yaml.

Open the API reference

Not technical? Read "In one minute" and "Is this for you?" in the partner guide first.

What it can do

  • Show your SPLA contracts with SoftwareOne and their prices.
  • Show every monthly report, with the amount per line, also as a spreadsheet.
  • Prepare next month's draft: start it, change quantities, add or remove a line.

Right now this server only reads. It can show what a change would do, but it does not make the change. Changes are off for everyone today; they will be switched on after a first test with someone watching in CloudIQ.

What it never does

  • It never submits a report. A person always presses the final button in CloudIQ.
  • It never writes down your password or secret. They are used once to log in and then forgotten.
  • It only shows what your own CloudIQ login is allowed to see, and it limits login attempts strictly.

How to start

  1. Check with your developer or software supplier that your system can be connected (see Is this for you?).
  2. Your developer tries everything on the demo with invented data first: on the Try it page or at https://cloudiq-spla.cleverpoc.com/demo.
  3. Your developer connects your software with your own CloudIQ login plus an API client (client ID and secret, made by your CloudIQ administrator), following the partner guide and the API reference. No registration is needed, and price and terms are not fixed yet (nothing is charged without an agreement); please let CleverIT know that you use it: support@cleverit.nl (see Getting access).
